[Part 1] Yesterday, he was at <500 followers.

So how the hell did he explode to 3k in a month!?!?

Welcome, my 12 amorteurs,

About 3 weeks ago, I logged onto Twitter, circle-jerked for a bit (Twitter Growth style), then stopped because something utterly shocked me.

A dear creator friend and supporter previously around my follower level, Joshua Geelen (@thejoshuageelen), was suddenly at almost 3k followers.

3k.

That's a 3 with 3 zeros following it. It far exceeds both of your parents' Facebook friends lists. Combined.

Sure, that's great information and good for him, but why should I care?

Literally, the month or two before, I swear (and I don't swear often) that he was <500 followers like the rest of us.

Let me put it into context for those who haven't tried writing on Twitter.

It's like bodybuilding, and somebody's body transforms "overnight". Sure, there are a lot of jacked dudes around, but you won't really know how hard it is until you try it yourself.

Have you had hobbies or passions like that? I suspect most people do.

What I'm trying to get at is a question that stands at the heart of the quest for rapid audience-building:

What Twitter growth strategy is the best?

To cut a long discussion short:

A consistent one.

There is, of course, a little more nuance to it than that.

More on that tomorrow ;-)

See you soon, internauts!
